Surveying the State of Privacy in 2021

Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of how, when and by whom their data are being used. Organizations that fail to protect the privacy of their customers are at risk of financial and reputational damage. Results from ISACA’s 2020 State of Privacy survey reflect privacy’s increasing importance to boards of directors. Survey responses also indicate that despite financial uncertainties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, respondents believe privacy budgets will increase or stay the same.

To further consider the privacy landscape, ISACA® will host the “Exploring Privacy Trends, Challenges and Predictions” webinar on 28 January at 11 am CST (UTC -6 hours). The webinar will address topics that include privacy program strategies, workforce trends and the future of privacy. Attendees will also learn methods of improving privacy teams and examine the privacy skills gap. ISACA members will earn 1 continuing professional education (CPE) hour for attending the event.
